A Week Ahead Of His Debut Album ‘Night Music’ Merrick Drops Single ‘Dangerously Sincere’ (Out October 18)
Friday, the 25th of October marks a huge day for this Brisbane-based singer-songwriter, Jordan Merrick, who is releasing his debut, 10-track album titled ‘Night Music’.
Having already teased the album with singles, ‘Low Country’ (June, 2019), ‘I Don’t Belong’ (September, 2019), Merrick is giving one last taste a week out from the release with the track ‘Dangerously Sincere (feat Amela’ – listen here.
‘Dangerously Sincere’ is a slow-burning laidback soul/ blues track. Focussed around the smooth vocal melody and lyrics featuring harmonies and verses from Amela, the track is backed by a 1-bar electric-guitar loop and some sparse organ.
This all builds as the drums roll in and the draw-bars on the organ get put to work and the gain on the electric guitar gets turned up for a rocking bridge.
‘Dangerously Sincere’ is another dose of what to expect from Merrick’s expressive and highly-creative 10-track debut album that can be pre-ordered here.
Furthermore, the featured vocalist, Amela, will be launching her new single ‘Blame’ on the 18th of October and will be playing a number of shows on Jordan Merrick’s tour (Gold Coast, Brisbane and Melbourne). Find all tour information below.
